Restaurant Landbogaarden is Ærø's oldest eatery and is located on Vestergade in Ærøskøbing. The restaurant was founded in 1919 by Michael Fuglsang Mikkelsen.
Today, the authentic and charming restaurant is run by Gertrud and Jacob, Michael Fuglsang Mikkelsen's great-grandson. Gertrud is the beautiful and singing hostess who ensures that your evening at Landbogaarden is unforgettable. Jacob is in the kitchen creating homemade Danish food as well as various international comfort food classics.
The menu always offers a dish for the meat eaters and a dish for the vegetarians and Landbogaarden is known on Ærø for its extremely tasty vegetarian and vegan food. Landbogaarden is a family-friendly restaurant and definitely worth a visit when travelling to Ærø.
In addition to eating in the restaurant, you should also stop by Landbogaarden's cosy bar where they serve Absinthe with fire and fountain, drinks and Fuglsang on tap.
In the summer, they open up the main hall for discos and after-parties after the Ærø Jazz Festival and weddings.
