Costume party for the whole family in Ærøskøbing

Ready for barrel tapping and fastelavnsboller? Experience the real Danish Fastelavn atmosphere in Ærøskøbing with the whole family.

As Fastelavn (the Danish Shrovetide season) approaches, the local sports club ÆIK invites both young and old to join the festivities. Every Saturday in week 7, the local gym fills with colourful costumes, happy children and the irresistible smell of freshly baked fastelavnsboller - all set in a cosy, local atmosphere where community comes first.

Look forward to classic Danish barrel tapping, bouncy castles, an obstacle and activity course, and prizes for the best and funniest costumes. Children can also bowl for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

It’s a day packed with energy and big smiles - whether you’re dressed up yourself or cheering from the sidelines.

The event is open to everyone, and all proceeds support ÆIK's work with children and young people in the town. In other words, taking part is both fun and meaningful - and along the way there’s coffee, fastelavnsboller and sweets for those with a sweet tooth.

Admission is DKK 25 for adults, and children get in free.
